With some Rage 2 and Fallout 76 declared before E3 started, I was dubitable Bethesda could pull off a surprisal for its 2018 press conference. Subsequently all, we knew several class of Prey *matter* was connected the way too—that's been teased for months.
But Bethesda managed it nevertheless, announcing some Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein: Youngblood even before IT settled into divulging a raft of Radioactive dust 76 details. And then it dove intoStarfieldandSr. Scrolls VI—two games that have been being buzzed about foryears.

Rage 2
It might've been leaked by Canadian Wal-Mart, but Bethesda had a lot more to differentiate us about Craze 2 during its press conference. "An large look at the world and gameplay," as Bethesda's Tim Willits aforementioned, with a demonstrate of the game available to wager at the caller's E3.
First of all, it looks fantastic. I know the original Rage touted id Tech 5 at a prison term when that was new, and it looked pretty great. Some of the shots in this trailer are stunning though.
Simply other than that? It looks a raft like Roll down's Mad Max game from few years past, mixed in with Doom's super-agile shooting. That's…one Hel of a combo, and I wouldn't be startled if this was shopped around as a Mad Max sequel before Bethesda picked it up and converted it to Cult 2, admixture a trifle of id's gun knowledge in for good criterion.
I'm still not 100 percent sold-out along a refreshing Rage—I recovered the first dreadfully boring. Tonight's presentation piqued my interest though. I stingy, again: Doom plus Mad Max? That's at least worth profitable some attention to. Seek it in take form 2019.
Following, Bethesda touted its new Senior Scrolls Online: Summerset expansion ($40 happening Unskilled), which launched recently. Rather than regurgitating Bethesda's PR-speak, here's our review. The next DLC to semen retired volition be called Wolfhunter, supported on werewolves, and a story DLC titled Murkmire later this class will delve deeper into Argonian civilization.
TheElder Scrolls: Legendscards is relaunching later this year with a new look and feel, as well.
Elder Scrolls: Blades Bethesda is also bringing a version ofElderberry bush Scrollsproper to mobile devices, dubbedElderberry bush Scrolls: Blades. The free game includes a rogue-like eternal dungeon mode called the Abysm, a 1 vs. 1 multiplayer Arena, and a Town manner that serves as the main game. You'll be able to wander around the town, upgrading it as your adventures progress, along with your character. Bethesda wants to bringBladesto "every device and organization we prat," Todd Howard said, including phones, PCs, consoles, and even VR when it launches later this year.
Doom: Eternal
And hey, the initiatory surprise of the night, Doom: Permanent. It's exclusive been two years since id in conclusion got that Doom reboot dead, merely I've been yen for a new one ever since. It was sol damn fun.
Not much for us to talk of yet, with most details set to emerge at QuakeCon this summertime. There's a teaser though, and if that guitar chug doesn't set about your pedigree pumping I assume't know what will. Hopefully this one focuses connected what made 2016's Doom so great, a.k.a. the singleplayer effort, and doesn't bother shoehorning in a incomplete-scorched multiplayer mode—which, disturbingly, consumed all of id's position-launch efforts for the reboot.
Prey DLC
"Infinitely replayable." That's the gimmick in arrears the new Prey DLC, Mooncrash. The trailer makes IT smel nearly like a Prey roguelike, with you attempting to escape the moon over and over. Death agency starting over from scratch, with (I get into) all the enemies and weapons irregular. And get this: It's releasing this night.
There's also a new asymmetric multiplayer mode coming, "Typhon Hunter." One player has to hunt down five others, whol of which are mimics with the power to disguise themselves as random objects. It sounds like a great setup for giggly parachute-scares—and it will be available in VR when it releases afterward this summer.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood
Wolfenstein: The Other Order got a standalone expansion about a year after release, Old Blood, but I hadn't hoped to see analogous for Wolfenstein II, 1 of 2017's optimum games. Luckily Machine Games had my rearmost though, with Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
Flash forward in time to the alt-history 1980s, the stars this time are BJ Blazkowicz's twin daughters. And yes, since they'rhenium twins, the entire hunting expedition can be played co-op with a friend. Can't wait.
But that's non completely. Bethesda's making a Wolfenstein VR gimpy excessively, called Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot. That's close to all we know at the moment, equally there wasn't plane a trailer on expose. Look out for more than details soon though, I'm sure.
Side effect 76
"Four times the size of Fallout 4." Todd Howard trotted out that stat at Microsoft's press league this good afternoon, and then once more at Bethesda's. It's a pretty meaningless metric linear unit, but does return an melodic theme of Bethesda's ambitions here.
We also got an figurative look on at Bank vault 76, a some more pristine-looking hurdle than any we've had the pleasure of occupying earlier. And why not? It's one of the low gear vaults to open, so things are actually kind of intact, at least wrong.
Once outside, naturally, the post-apocalypse is about as apocalyptic as ever. Expect lots of terrifying spic-and-span creatures, some drawn from WV's folklore. Also: Your fellow humans.
This is the big "surprise," though Kotaku did report on it shortly after the Fallout 76 reveal. It's a singleplayer experience, sort of—you can play it alone, going on quests and developing your type. But it's also a multiplayer live, weighed down of other players wandering the wasteland. According to Todd Howard, "You can join your friends whenever you want, and all your progression goes with you." The trailer shows some cooperative and contending play, though in person I'm hoping I can merely opt out of PvP.
Also interesting: The settlement system is reverting, bigger than last time. You hindquarters now build wherever you'd like, thanks to the new "C.A.M.P." mobile base, then pick sprouted and relocate wherever you'd like.
Overall it looks like a large, more ambitious Fallout 4, and along a automatonlike level, it looks great. The real question, I guess, is whether Bethesda nates make the writing and plot more engaging this time some. We'll know shortly, I guessing. Fallout 76 is as wel departure to have a exploratory—or a "Break it Embryotic Exam Application," in Vault-Tec idiom—for people who preorder ahead of a November 14 launch.
Starfield
But as big A Fallout 76 is, it didn't close out Bethesda's event. First, we got Starfield. Finally. We've been hearing rumors approximately this project for years instantly, and it's been hypothesized as code for everything from Fallout 76 to Rage 2 to that Prey DLC.
Not much to move on connected however, leave out that it's Bethesda's first new IP in 25 geezerhood, and IT's going to space.
And then we got an plane briefer tease for Elder Scrolls VI. No really, like the briefest possible tease you could imagine. "Here's a landscape, here's a statute title splash, and we're call at fin seconds." Nary idea when that'll arrive, but at least you know Bethesda's working on that (as if information technology were ever in doubtfulness).
Perchance we'll find out more next year. I sure promise so.
